The New Glyde HPV

The new flagship of the Greenspeed fleet, Glyde, is here and the first production models are now being shipped. The Glyde will take you well beyond the boundaries of any other vehicle.

The Glyde is a hand welded aircraft grade cromoly space frame wrapped in a fiberglass shell. This offers you protection against the elements and safety in the event of an accident. Glyde’s aerodynamic body, which was developed over 16 years with reflex fairings, makes it nearly twice as efficient as a standard bike and nearly 60 times more efficient than most cars.

Glyde rolls on 16″ front wheels and a 20″ rear wheel. The small front wheels give an incredibly tight turning circle and the 20″ rear provides for better derailleur clearance. The vehicle’s exceptional handling is provided by suspension on all three wheels, Scorcher tires and dual Avid front disc brakes. The handle bars are push/ pull style giving you the most control, easy access and minimum intrusion on cabin space.
Inside you are completely sealed from the front and rear wheels making for a quiet, clean ride. You have clean storage space behind the seat and in front of and behind the front wheels. Using the front storage spaces can improve the handling of the Glyde.

Glyde’s seat features the mesh, full ergo curves as found on our other tadpole trikes. It adjusts easily between rides in a matter of seconds with no tools needed making it accessible for multiple riders in a family.

Glyde has a SRAM dual drive 3sp internal hub fitted with an 11-28t cassette and a 52-42-30t chain ring setup giving a gear inch range of 15-123. You also have the option of upgrading to a Rholoff 14sp hub and a Schlumpf two speed bottom bracket.
The Glyde can be ordered in orange, yellow or white. Upgrade options will include Magura Big hydraulic brake system, NiteRider TriNewt single light rechargeable battery pack system and in the near future different top hatches and electric assist.
We have developed a real alternative to the car, so come and see if you too could be driving the dream.

Any word of anyone going to display a Greenspeed Glyde at teh mid March Seattle International Bike Show?

I have mine on order but still uncertain as to power assist clearances for a mid drive setup. I would love to see a production model for detail photos and measurements.

We will not show the Glyde at the Seattle show, but will have one to show in May at the LCVMG.
